Lagoom.app is a completely new way of recycling clothes securely. The solution enables an easy and clever way of creating one’s own community, making managing, buying and selling clothes straightforward. “Lagoom is the Tinder of second-hand clothes,” says founder Jaakko Isohanni.
Lagoom app contains three main functions:
“Users can build digital wardrobes and check their contents where and when they want. Mix-and-match function enables creating new outfits without having to buy more,” says Loi Tran, Lagoom app product owner.
Lagoom is a marketplace where users can sell and buy unused clothes and therefore prolong their lifecycle. The marketplace is optimised to fit each user’s preference, matching similar sizes and styles. The community function connects users with like-minded peers to share tips on sustainable fashion.
“We will expand into international markets and different service sectors. Our platform is also suitable for other items’ service platform,” Isohanni says.
In Lagoom app, you will have just enough clothes. The service is free for all and can be downloaded from Google Play and App Store.
Lagoom is a collaboration between Tavarapilvi Oy and gaIoTa Oy. gaIoTa Oy consists of international experts in design, business and engineering, Aalto University – Kiuas Start Accelerator – work closely with gaIoTa, which has gained success e.g. in the World Challenge Finland competition, organised by the UN OICT, European Space Agency and NASA World Wind.
